Cost – effectiveness

EPDM has an extremely low raw rubber density, making it the lightest among rubbers. Moreover, it can absorb a large quantity of oils and fillers. Interestingly, this absorption has almost no adverse effects on its properties. As a result, this significantly reduces the overall cost of EPDM hoses.

Corrosion Resistance

EPDM rubber lacks polarity and has a low degree of saturation. Consequently, it shows strong resistance to various acids, alkalis, alcohols, oils, greases, and oxidants. However, it’s important to note that prolonged exposure to high – melting conditions can lead to a decline in the performance of EPDM rubber hoses.

Wide Operating Temperature Range

EPDM rubber hoses can operate continuously at 120℃ for an extended period. Additionally, they can withstand 150℃ for short durations.
